TEXAS LTC
Receiving knowledgeable training with our certified instructors at Sportsman's Elite is the best way you can start towards getting your License to Carry (LTC).
The class will contain the following to meet the state requirements:
* Complete 4 1/2 hours of classroom training and exam over lecture materal.
* 1 hour on the shooting range, Pass a proficiency demonstration (Being familiar with loading, unloading, working through malfunctions, and shooting accuracy).
Upon successful completion of the training class, the instructor should
provide you with a Certificate of Training (LTC-104). You will need to
submit this form to DPS to complete your application.
You will still need to apply for the license through the Texas DPS website and getting fingerprints done with IdentoGo (additional documents may be required).
COST: $75
COURSE LENGTH: 5 Hours
WHEN: AS SCHEDULED
WHERE: CLASSROOM AND INDOOR RANGE (ON-SITE)
A 5 1/2 hour course that consists of 4 1/2 hours of classroom lecture including a written test, and 1 hour on the range for the Shooting test where you must be able to load your own firearm, shoot accurately, and work through any malfunction you may encounter for the qualification.
You must be Preregistered with Payment in order to be on the roster, NO Walk-Ins for classes will be permitted. If it's your first time visiting our range, Please show up 15 minutes early to complete range waivers.
AMMUNITION NOT INCLUDED
Required Gear:
- 50 rounds of ammunition
- Eye & Ear Protection
- Firearm of .22LR or higher with at least one magazine (one firearm per person, No sharing)
- Rentals are available for 21 years of age or higher, however you must be familiar with the safe use and operation of the handgun you are renting. If you are unfamiliar with firearms, we will not be able to rent to you.
- Rental handguns are an additional $15 not including ammunition. If you are renting a firearm, Ammunition must be purchased in house.
- No Red dots, Lasers, or Aiming Devices of any kind other than Iron Sights for qualification per state requirements.
Age Requirements:
18 Years of age, 21 years of age for Rental firearms if required.
